APE is a leucistic mutation of the legendary Penis Envy strain, producing ghost-white fruit bodies with dense, almost columnar stems, small caps that never fully open, and no visible spore production. The lack of veil break and minimal spore drop means the mushroom diverts more of its energy into alkaloid production — which is exactly why APE is consistently among the highest-testing strains in the entire cubensis catalog.
Independent testing places APE’s average psilocybin content around 11.6 mg/g, with total tryptamines often pushing 2× the cubensis baseline. That makes APE roughly comparable in strength to Tidal Wave and Enigma, with the added characteristic of feeling slightly faster on the come-up due to the unusually high psilocin-to-psilocybin ratio common in leucistic lineages.
