The Mush Love MI Rewards Program is a straightforward points-per-dollar loyalty system built into our Lightspeed retail platform. It is not a subscription, not a membership fee, and not tied to any credit card or third-party service. There is no app to download, no ID number to remember, and no email marketing signup required to participate. Your phone number is the entire account.
Points accumulate on every psilocybin and non-psilocybin purchase, in-store and web pickup alike. The program is designed to reward regulars — the local Ann Arbor customers who visit once or twice a week, the University of Michigan community, and the greater Washtenaw County residents who make Mush Love their default shop. Over a year of steady visits, a customer buying at a typical monthly pace will redeem multiple $10–$20 rewards without any bonus events. Add double-point days, birthday bonuses, and new-brand launches and the effective discount pushes higher.
We built the program to be legible and honest. There are no hidden tiers with unclear thresholds, no expiring points that vanish silently, and no "gold" and "platinum" copy that dresses up a flat 1% cashback as a tier system. Points are earned at 1 per $1 spent, redeemed at fixed dollar increments, and posted to your account balance within 60 seconds of your transaction closing.
You earn 1 point per $1 spent on the net purchase amount (before tax, after any discounts or coupon codes). Points post to your account balance the same day, usually within a minute of your receipt. A $60 purchase earns 60 points. A $150 basket earns 150 points. A $10 chocolate bar earns 10 points. There is no floor and no ceiling.

Ask the counter to apply your available balance on any transaction — no minimum purchase, no product exclusions, works on every SKU we sell including Caps Lock capsules, dried strains, edibles, and merchandise. Redemptions stack with any active bonus event so a double-point day purchase that also uses a $10 redemption earns points on the discounted total plus the redemption.
You can redeem partial balance (e.g., use $5 of a $12 balance, save $7 for next visit) or bank points long-term for a bigger single redemption. There is no penalty for holding.
Every customer starts in the same tier and stays there. There are no locked features behind a spending threshold. What does happen at higher lifetime spend:

How do I sign up? Give the counter your phone number on your next visit. That is it — no forms, no email opt-in, no password to remember. Your rewards balance is tied to that phone number and follows you across every visit and every purchase channel (in-store or web pickup).

Do points expire? Balance stays active as long as you make at least one purchase every 12 months. Inactive accounts (no visit in 12+ months) may forfeit accumulated points — call (734) 215-7450 to check status if you have not been in for a while.
Can I transfer or gift rewards? No, rewards are tied to the phone number on the account and cannot be transferred. But you are welcome to bring a friend and let them use your account at pickup — balance applies to their purchase.
Can I use rewards and a coupon code together? Yes. Discount codes apply first (reducing the net purchase), then rewards redeem against the discounted total. You still earn points on the final paid amount.
What happens if a product is defective? Bring it back to the counter. We refund or replace defective inventory at our discretion and reverse the corresponding points on your account. This is exceedingly rare given third-party testing on Caps Lock and quality controls on outside brands, but it happens.
Do rewards apply to gift cards or store credit? Purchases made with store credit or gift cards do not earn additional points (the points were earned on the original purchase). Purchases made partially with rewards redemption earn points on the paid balance only.
Do you have a claw machine? Yes — the in-store claw machine at 2007 S State St has been a customer favorite since opening. Occasional promo events use claw-machine plays as reward redemptions. Watch Instagram for announcements.
Can I see my rewards balance online? Yes. Log into your Mush Love MI account with the phone number on file — balance, transaction history, and redemption history are visible on the account dashboard. If you have never set a password, use the phone number as both username and initial password, then set a permanent password.
What if I lose my phone number? If your phone number changes, call the shop at (734) 215-7450 and ask counter staff to migrate your account to a new number. Bring the associated ID next visit to complete the migration.
