Description
Snowball is a leucistic Psilocybe cubensis isolation from the Snow White / albino family — snow-white to pale ivory caps, thick pale stems, and heavy blue bruising when handled.
It sits at the top of the Extreme tier in Cup-tier territory alongside Tattoo, TWAPE, and T Mac, well above intermediate leucistics like Albino A+ and White Billy, and shoulder-to-shoulder with the strongest strains in the Mush Love MI catalog. Do not let the friendly leucistic look fool you. The clean snow-white pigmentation hides a strain that dose-for-dose punches with the Cup-tier extremes.
What makes Snowball different: Two things. First, the visual signature — snow-white caps on thick pale stems are among the most photogenic fruits in the cubensis family, and the leucistic pigmentation reduction gives Snowball a striking shelf presence next to standard tan-caramel cubensis.
Second, the expectation gap — leucistic Snow White varieties in the broader cubensis community typically sit mid-shelf, but the Mush Love MI Snowball isolation runs at Extreme potency, Cup-tier weight, requiring the same Advanced-only handling as Tattoo, TWAPE, or APE. Sharp weighty come-up, dense open-eye geometry, immersive closed-eye visuals, heavy body load, and deep ego work through the peak.
Dosing baseline: Golden Teacher = 1× reference. Snowball runs at approximately 1.7–2×. A light portion is 0.75–1g Snowball (equivalent to 1.5–2g Golden Teacher). A museum or microdose window is 0.04–0.06g for a sub-perceptual lift. A full portion is 1.25–1.5g Snowball (equivalent to 2.5–3g Golden Teacher).
A heroic portion at this potency level is 2.5g+ and should only be attempted by experienced psychonauts with a trusted sitter. Microdose protocols use 40–60 mg every 3–4 days, well below the standard cubensis baseline. First-time Snowball users should start at 1g or less regardless of prior cubensis experience, and give the full 90 minutes before considering a redose.
Effects profile: Onset 30–45 minutes on a light meal, peak arriving in the 75–90 minute window with a sharp weighty rise rather than a soft plateau. Total session window five to six hours with a heavy afterglow that carries through the evening. Visuals are dense and immersive — strong open-eye geometry on natural surfaces, breathing textures, rich color enhancement, and layered closed-eye imagery through the peak.
Body load runs heavy; plan to sit or lie down through the peak rather than moving actively. Headspace runs weighty, introspective, and ego-forward, well suited to intentional set-and-setting work and poorly suited to daytime social activity. The comedown is deep and reflective.
Who Snowball is for: Advanced psychonauts who have worked with Cup-tier strains like Tattoo, TWAPE, or APE and are prepared for a full ceremonial session.
Not appropriate as a first strain, and not appropriate as a first Advanced strain — work through Golden Teacher, White Billy, and mid-tier Advanced strains first. Well suited to ego-work sessions, intentional ceremony, and deep introspective work with a trusted sitter. Not the right strain for a daytime social session or creative work.
