How is a magic mushroom capsule made? Whole dried Psilocybe cubensis fruit is air-cured to consistent moisture, ground to homogenous powder in a laboratory-grade mill, and weighed into individual vegetable-cellulose capsules on a precision scale. No fillers, no mycelium-on-grain, no synthetic psilocybin. The capsule shell is vegan (no gelatin). Every batch is documented in the Ann Arbor production log.

How many capsules for a microdose vs full dose? At the standard Caps Lock 0.25g-per-capsule fill, a microdose is 1–2 caps (0.25–0.5g dried equivalent), a museum dose is 2–4 caps (0.5–1g), a threshold dose is 4–6 caps (1–1.5g), a full recreational dose is 8–16 caps (2–4g), and a heroic dose is 20+ caps (5g+). Start low with any new strain even if your previous strain baseline was higher.

Which strain should a first-time capsule buyer pick? Golden Teacher. It is the most-studied P. cubensis phenotype, has the most forgiving effect curve, and delivers the classic psilocybin experience without heavy visual or somatic surprises. Once you know how you respond, move to a higher-potency strain (Tidal Wave, APE, Enigma) if you want more intensity, or stay on Golden Teacher indefinitely — plenty of customers do.

Do capsules kick harder than dried mushrooms? No — same active compound, same total dose. Perceived intensity sometimes feels slightly different because capsules land the dose in a single moment (you swallow the full amount at once) versus eating dried caps where you might chew for five minutes and the loading spreads over that chewing window. Total intensity is identical for equivalent grams.

Should I take capsules on an empty or full stomach? Empty or light stomach for fastest onset. Full stomach slows absorption by 30–60 minutes and can slightly reduce peak intensity, which some customers actually prefer. If you get nausea from dried mushrooms, a small snack (banana, crackers) 30 minutes before the capsules often eliminates it without much impact on the trip curve.
